Taylor Swift still hangs out with friends

Young songstress Taylor Swift has revealed she still likes to go out with her friends despite achieving a global level of fame in recent months.
The 21-year-old, whose latest album is called ‘Speak Now’, says while she is recognised when out in public, she doesn’t let that stop her social life. “I still hang out with my friends," she says. "I still walk into a nearby grocery store and I still do all those things that anyone at this age would."
Taylor, who is currently dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal, also confesses that while she may not speak her mind all the time, her music gives her a chance to do just that. “I know I don't always say the right thing at the right time or speak up when I should, but I write it all down," she explains. "I get my guitar and a pen and all of a sudden, I have a chance to say exactly what I meant to say in real life."

Instead of the sideswept, romantic waves we've come to expect from the singer at awards shows, Swifty surprised everyone by wearing her hair not only sleek and loose, but accompanied with a blunt, edgy fringe.

We've said before how much we love it when Taylor Swift wears her hair straight and we think the addition of bangs only enhances the look. We really wish she'd wear her hair like this more often--it's super-flattering to her face shape and gives her a sexy, look that's miles away from her typical fairy tale updo.

Taylor Swift debuted a hot new look last night at the American Music Awards!

The country singer showed up looking like a new person due to her straight hair. Taylor is famous for her blonde, curly locks but decided to switch it up last night and it definitely worked for her. Not only did Taylor look great at the annual awards show she also won the award for Best Country Artist beating out stiff competition like Carrie Underwood.

Taylor Swift Has Top Album

 -  Taylor Swift's latest album, Speak Now, has reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The offering sold an additional 259,000 copies this week to bump Susan Boyle's The Gift into the number two spot with sales of only 254,000.
As of right now, Speak Now is 2010's third best-selling album. Eminem's Recovery is the top-selling LP with 3.2 million copies sold, while Lady Antebellum's Need You Now is the second-best with three million copies sold.
Swift has spent seven weeks on the Billboard 200 with her new album. Its lead single, "Mine," peaked at number one on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart and number two on the Country Songs chart.
The songstress recently released her newest single "Back to December," which is rumored to be about her old flame Taylor Lautner. So far the song has risen to number six on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift seem to be smitten in love.

Jake Gyllenhaal showed his romantic side to new girlfriend Taylor Swift for the country star's 21st birthday, dropping $11,000 for a guitar,US Weekly

 reported.

The guitar was reportedly signed by legendary American guitarist Chet Atkins.

While it seems like a natural gift for any country star, Gyllenhaal reportedly got a hint from Swift after her recent trip to Nashville, according to the magazine. [Taylor Swift]
The expensive gift topped a week where he introduced his new gal to his family, including sister Maggie Gyllenhaal and his four-year-old niece Ramona in a recent trip to New YorK.
The two have been spotted together gallavanting around local coffee shops in Brooklyn and Nashville in recent weeks.
"Taylor is smitten," a source told Us Weekly. "She loves how nice and affectionate he is." [Taylor Swift]
The age difference hasn't seemed to be a problem for the lovebirds either.
"Jake likes that Taylor is sweet, low-key and very easy to be around," a source told the magazine.
Gyllenhaal has always seemed to have a thing for blondes - he was earlier linked to movie star Reese Witherspoon, while Gyllenhaal isn't the first older guy Swift has gone for. Her romance with John Mayer was allegedly documented in her recent hit "Dear John."

          Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift might have had a little A-list help getting their romance started.Us Weekly originally reported that Gwyneth Paltrow, who starred with Gyllenhaal in the 2005 film "Proof", hosted a private dinner party for the two at her London home on November 13.

           The actress tried to dodge the question when asked by USA Tody. "It's so weird. I wonder how people find out these things. It was a while ago, so I don't know why it would come out today." She added, "I've just known Jake for a long time and he's a great guy, and Chris [Martin, Paltow's husband] has a friendship with Taylor Swift."

          Gyllenhaal, who celebrates his 30th birthday on Sunday, recently nabbed his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical for his work in "Love and Other Drugs."

          Christmas baby Taylor Swift is planning a festive-themed birthday party for her 21st celebrations this month.
          The ‘Love Story’ singer, who is reportedly dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal, will have her birthday on December 13, and says she loves celebrating close to Christmas so the limelight is shifted from her. “I love having a Christmas-themed birthday party so people can give each other presents at my party.
      Then it's not so much a spotlight birthday – especially with a 21st where people are like, 'Huh? Huh? What's she gonna do?'” explains the star.
"I didn't want it to be a crazy club thing, I just want it to be very me, and the me thing to do would be to have a Christmas birthday party."
          Taylor Swift has already had an early present with the news her album ‘Speak Now’ has broken sales records in its first week of release.

The 20-year old singer is the youngest ever celebrity to be given with this title. The famous magazine also paid tribute to the achievements of 14 other famous faces in 2010. This includes Kanye West, James Franco, John Hamm, Katy Perry and Ben Affleck.

In an exclusive interview with Taylor Swift, who is alleged to be going out with Jake Gylenhaal, and has formerly romanced stars with Taylor Lautner, as well as Joe Jonas- confessed that she laughs at endless speculation as to which of her past lovers she refers about in her songs.

          She added that she hasn’t confirmed that any song is related to any particular person. She said that there is something kind of liberation about that. She also insisted that as far as she is concerned, it is all still up in the air.

         In the year 2006, Taylor Swift released her first album entitled “Tim McGraw” followed by a self-titled album which turned out to be multi-platinum certified by the Recording Industry Association of America. Then, she was also nominated for the Best New Artist award at 50th Grammy Awards.

Getting another day underway, Taylor Swift was spotted out and about in Nashville, TN on Wednesday (December 1).
Looking cute and casual in all black garb with red kicks, the "Mine" singer grabbed a morning cup of coffee and snack as she readied to hit the studio for work duties.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Taylor spent the previous evening at the CMT Artists of the Year event held at The Factory.
Being honored with her bandmates, the blonde beauty took a moment to thank Maroon 5 members for choosing her song "Mine" for their performance, as she said, “I want to thank Maroon 5 for coming out here and taking on such a wordy, girlie song.”

Meanwhile, ABC has given Beyonce a 90-minute “I Am… World Tour” event at 9:30 p.m. It will be the performer’s second annual Thanksgiving special on the network.
